Beard transplantation is usually performed by transplanting hair follicles from another area of the body into the beard area. The hair follicles to be used during beard transplantation are usually taken from the nape region. The hair roots planted during beard transplantation are planted at the same angles in accordance with the beard structure of the person. Transplantation angle is important for a natural appearance
Roots that will taken from the donor area should have single hair roots. The roots taken from the nape are divided into single. In natural appearance, there are single bristle roots in the beard area. Beard transplantation should be applied by an attending physician who is experienced in subject.
The selection of donor areas may vary. By taking the roots in the unnecessary part of the face, transplantation can be done in order to increase the density of the beard in thin areas. Unnecessary hair on the cheekbone can be taken and transplant into the thin area of the beard. When inserted with 0.6-0.7 mm diameter tips and by careful manual removal, there will not be any scars.
In regional beard loss, the roots taken from the dense region can be planted on the sparse parts so adaptation in the beard is provided .
How much root can be planted.
Depending on the density frequency and limit desired by the person, between 1000-2000 roots can be transplanted. For a fully beardless person, by transplanting on whisker, chin and favorite area, provides a significant change in appearance even if it is prominently thin
Usually around 3000 roots beard transplantation gives pleasurable results.
After beard transplantation
After this application, falls occur in the beard for 15 days, but these are the process of shedding of the bristles only. The hair follicles are not damaged with this spillage. After 4 to 6 months of temporary spillage, all of the shed ones grow again. Quality in hair root continues to increase for up to 2 years. The area where the beard and mustache is transplanted can be washed after 24-48 hours. The first shaving should be done after 1 month to allow the roots to cling sufficiently.
